Associate DVM

We are seeking a compassionate Associate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) to provide high-quality medical care to companion animals through examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and routine procedures. Candidates must hold a DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited program and be licensed, or eligible for licensure, in the State of Missouri through the Missouri Veterinary Medical Board; veterinarians licensed in other states may qualify for licensure by reciprocity or endorsement.
New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and competitive compensation available.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic assessments.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Perform routine and soft-tissue surgical procedures. (as skill level allows)
- Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations.
- Interpret laboratory results, radiographs, and diagnostic imaging.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding care options, prognosis, and preventive medicine.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Uphold clinic standards, protocols, and ethical practices.
Must Have
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of practice.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Nice to have
- Experience with soft-tissue surgery and dentistry.
- Interest in preventative care and client education.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Desire for continuing education and professional development.
